Children's Intensive Program for Anorexia and Bulimia

Remuda's Intensive Program for Children offers a peaceful, safe environment for girls, ages 13 and younger, to begin the process of healing from an eating disorder. This specialized program is designed specifically to address children’s issues in eating disorder treatment. Children are carefully assessed for age appropriate psychosocial development and guided along an appropriate developmental path. Specific age-appropriate treatments are offered to meet the individualized needs of the child and her family, including frequent family therapy sessions and a focus on issues such as attachment, resiliency, social skills, and self-esteem. Certified teachers on staff manage patients’ educational needs, enabling them to remain in school during treatment.
