Remuda Ranch Partners with New York Theater Group
Remuda Ranch is always looking for innovative ways to shed more light on the issue of eating disorders. Currently, we are sponsoring a theatrical piece developed by Houses on the Moon, a young theater company from New York. These actors have a big mission: To develop and produce original dramatic works that promote awareness of challenging social issues. To help them research and create this dramatic theater piece on eating disorders, the actors will be spending time at Remuda Ranch. During their visit, they will be conducting interviews, focus groups and participating in activity experientials.
“This is an exciting opportunity to bring awareness of eating disorders through this artistic venue, which will be unlike any other format,” said Dena Cabrera, PsyD, psychologist and director of educational outreach at Remuda Ranch.
The hope of this energetic young company is to create something so authentic and compelling that it can be performed on a off-Broadway New York stage. We will keep you informed of their progress as the production unfolds.
